Ailyn Warsong

Ailyn prefers to ensure that her foes know that they are coming...right before they become her victims. One of the few Daughters of Tyr still living, she has a great deal of pressure from her siblings and from the other demigods in general to prove herself worthy of being her father's daughter. While female warriors are highly respected by most of the demigods, they most first prove themselves equal to or better than their male counterparts.

When the Exile first came to the Isle of the Stars, Ailyn was one of the many that held contempt for her and her Companions, thinking them to be week for relying on their father's powers in battle. She was also one of the few to challenge them to direct combat, and found herself evenly matched in the ensuing duel. When the Exile asked what she was fighting for, Ailyn replied it was for strength and respect. The Exile explained that she had lost because her cause, her Will, was not strong enough. The greatest of strength was protecting the people and things that you cherish. Her words struck a cord in the warrior demi-goddess, and from that moment forth she was more loyal to Riven than all save the Hands and Katarina, whose loyalty borders on fanatacism.

A powerful and exceptionally skilled warrior, Ailyn is most lethal a long spear, although her archery and swordplay are nothing to scoff at.
